I have identity disorder with this game.
On a one side it is a shame that this game didn’t evolve gameplay wise compare to the first part. It didn’t become massive, or had much better story, or new riddles, or more exploration in the world. It is a same old Hellblade as we know it from 2017.
On another side it has so nice atmosphere and vibe of northern folk tales. And the level of pulling player into that, to follow Senua, to follow the story is still very high. I liked the voices, the way of fighting direction done (through they could be much shorter, as you just get tired of repeating same things over and over and over and over…). I liked some moments like when Senua crawls into a small hole in the cave and you feel who she struggles, how walls squeeze you and the character.
Idk. It is very contradictory.
