Mostly a solid, if budgeted tribute to Super Monkey Ball as a series. There's not much in the way of personality and aesthetics, but what lacks there it makes up for in music and gameplay. It's largely very faithful to the old ball rolling games of yore! However, the later Expert levels are less fun, with very few skip strats, and come down to more endurance than actual challenge. This feels more in line with modern Monkey Ball's philosophies than classic, which eh...not as big a fan. It's a shame because the opening half is pretty strong design wise. But all in all, it's still pretty solid. Give it a try if you're aching for some ball-based goodness. Or wait until Banana Mania releases.
