GTA 4 boasts an elaborate storyline with a dark theme that criticizes the American dream, xenophobia and homophobia. It feels like a book, and the characters seem to have stepped straight out of a Tarantino movie. The setting and ambiance are astonishing; Liberty City is jaw-dropping, and I was completely amazed by the attention to details. Unfortunately, nowadays, I feel like the game is somewhat dated.

The game design revolves around a delivery service, summed up as: get a car; reach point A; drive to point B; some random stuff happens, and the shootout begins; kill everyone; go back to point A; mission complete. The main quests can be EXTREMELY repetitive! Controlling Niko and driving can also be complicated at times. Moreover, the game is extremely poorly ported for PC; it's NECESSARY to apply ENB mods and downgrade the Steam version.

GTA 4 is declining, aging poorly. If you're not a lover of the series and are just getting interested in it now, I would say that starting with San Andreas or GTA V would be a more pleasant experience. However, despite everything, this game is still a banger, a legendary one!
