If you've gotta reboot Syndicate as a first-person shooter, this isn't a bad way to do it. Although the railroaded single-player campaign doesn't live all the way up to its potential (and gets caught on a predictable, overwrought story), the co-op multiplayer mode channels the squad-based chaos of the original series in a way that makes it feel fresh again. An effective translation of the original Syndicate's ideas and abilities into an action game format.
