Gregory Horror Show is slowly becoming one of my new little obsessions. I don't know if I'd call it amazing in the traditional sense, but if you know, you know. Gregory Horror Show is like, the perfect charming spooky project. Just familiar enough to be comfy, and just fucking bizarre enough to always stick in your head, an endlessly charming series, and this game might just be the best part of it all.

This game is pretty simple all things considered, you'd be kind of shocked it even exists, let alone its a fucking Capcom game. But you can really tell that its got that sixth gen Capcom magic they had going on when you play it. It is that perfect sleek, sort of trashy charm that made the original series so endearing. The gameplay loop of watching the residents of the show going through their routines is just the perfect mix of fanservice and nuance to make it such a treat. In retrospect, the fact this was able to get made is kind of a miracle, like a lot of this series. I don't know if I could call it a great game, but its the best part of the series, and its an endlessly lovable game. I know there is a new Gregory Horror Show project in the works, and you know what, I'm hopeful for something as cheesy and wonderful as it again.
