So, you like sudoku? You like doing sudoku quickly? Do you like.... some other third thing? Then Sudoku RPG is the game for you. Oh, shitty video game parody humor, that can be the third thing.

This is a game where you play sudoku quickly. In the first few levels, 95% of the grid will be filled in, and you will have a certain amount of time to fill in a number into one of the remaining spaces. Fill in a correct number and that timer restarts until you fill in another, and so on, until the grid is full. The amount of pre-filled grid gradually decreases as the game goes on, and on some levels the timer for inputting a number is very short. Make a mistake or run out of time, and you lose your combo & probably your shot at a perfect score (a self-imposed hard mode). There are powerups you can buy to make it easier, but if you are a pretty decent sudoku player, none of this will pose a challenge for you. You'll just have a good experience playing timed sudoku for a few hours, and then go back to watching Cracking the Cryptic videos.

There's no way for me to substantively critique this game because it's sudoku - either you like it or you don't. But I'll make one note on gameplay - the main enemy in this game is the clock and none of the powerups or upgrades really assist you in fighting it. You're more incentivized to just replay the level completely to get a perfect score than to ever use powerups. So, in a sense, the RPG part of this game is a total moot point. Play it for the sudoku, not the RPG. If that wasn't obvious.
