The main story had some big problems towards the end here. Starting around chapter 10 or 11 Yagami starts going around for his master plan, asking various people involved in this conspiracy to turn themselves in. Ehara, turn yourself in, it's your fault Sawa-sensei died. no? okay. Kuwana, turn yourself in, it's your fault Sawa-sensei died. no? okay. Kusomoto, turn yourself in, it's your fault Sawa-sensei died. No? Okay. except he asks them over and over again until it works for some reason. You know who he doesn't use this line of reasoning on? Soma, who actually did it. Didn't even ask for him to turn himself in! not that he would but c'mon. and making Kusomoto, someone who is actively making their society better turn herself in, but letting Kuwana walk at the end? What the hell. He said he left no evidence of his previous 7 killings so they had to let him walk (what?) but what about all the other crimes he was commiting? The blackmail, the storage of the bodies, the conspiracy to hide crimes and etc. etc. . You have tons of stuff to stick him on! But no let him walk away. bah. I've read some good arguments for the overuse of Sawa-sensei's death, but it does get grating hearing it over and over throughout.
I think I did too many story quests in a row, which might explain my plot fatigue. But side quests are harder to find in this one I felt. I really had to seek them out in most cases, were in other games I'd stumble into them easily running around the city.

Despite my ranting, it's still a good game. the combat has never felt better (snake style is a welcome addition) and the minigames are either super fun or completely dull, no in between.
