This felt like a weekend game jam game that the developer decided to charge money for. The art and the music are nice and obviously evocative of Donkey Kong Country, but I didn't find the stage design or gameplay all that compelling. It would've been better to have some nicely crafted side-scrolling stages instead of jumping upwards through nondescript platforms, with not much differentiating levels aside from weather affects and obstacles.
