Reunion has improved over the original game in nearly every way possible. The game feels a lot better to play without constant gameplay interruptions by the DMW actually stopping a battle. There are still some bits that feel dated, but in the interest of being faithful I think I actually prefer it this way. I did feel as though this version was much easier, by the latter third of the game I was absolutely stomping any enemy I encountered. The story in this game is still a whole lot of nonsense but that's just JRPGs for you.
