It's amazing how much of The Simpsons manages to come through in this game, making it clear to me just why this game was so popular when it was released. The characters actually look like the cartoon, and the game is packed with memorable gags and callbacks. The stages are also quite varied, taking us all over Springfield and pitting us against a variety of enemies. The gameplay itself is pretty simplistic which holds this game back--there's only attack and jump, no real movesets to speak of, but for a 45 minute or so runtime it's enough to just get to explore the world of The Simpsons.
