This is a remake of the NES game, Kirby’s Adventure. My biggest issue? You can tell. The problem with a majority of NES games is that the difficulty level was almost never fair. Throw random enemies in the most unconventional spots, have said enemies respawn by simply moving (Kirby) off that area of the screen and back in it, repeat for 8+ levels. Fortunately, despite the unfairness, it’s still quite a fun game. It’s a fast moving Kirby game, something we haven’t seen for awhile in this new Switch era of Kirby. The bosses are quirky and fun, which is what I’ve always thought Kirby thrives in, and aren’t as unfair as the main levels. The final boss of Kirby games is always killer too, absolute perfection. Added bonus, killer GBA style soundtrack. While I do prefer this GBA version, since it’s a beautiful looking pixelated work of art, I can’t get past how unfair it can be at times. Still, a solid 7/10.
