I can confidently say that Sonic Mania truly lived up to the hype! The game is such a great love letter to Classic Sonic as a whole, from the level design, art direction, and the awesome soundtrack! Even the new stuff is pretty good, just that it's a bit disappointing that there couldn't have been more than 5 new zones. Even so, I'd still put this game up there as one of the best 2D Sonic games, even above the original Genesis titles, and one of my personal favorites as well. 10/10, go play this game if you haven't already.
