Games I Played in 2022 Ranked

Nothing here!

Finally, a Yakuza game with good enemy design. But for real, this game is kinda amazing. It definitely feels like the most nuanced RGG game in terms of themes and character writing, and it's nice to play one of these games without having to metaphorically tug at my collar.
This is probably one of the smoothest transitions from 2D to 3D I've seen for a series. It's probably the best Kirby game since Return to Dreamland.
It's not exactly gonna win any awards in the story department, but I had a great time playing through Bloodstained. One of the better Kickstarter games I played.
It's a neat little game, even though I only played this in Japanese and couldn't parse what was happening all too well. Also doesn't overstay its welcome, only being about 5-6 hours long.
It's one of the most heavily flawed games I've played in the past few years, but it's got some ridiculously high highs to make up for it.
A fun beat-em-up that is unfortunately hampered by some wonky hit detection at times. Kinda steep for $30 admittedly.
Despite losing some of the charm of the original game like the cutscenes feeling lower rent and the complete omission of the blooper reel, I still prefer it over the original on the basis of it's not a nightmare to control.
How this is the game to follow up Travis Strikes Again is beyond me, but holy shit, this is bad.
Very rarely do I play a game so shockingly offensive and so aggressively boring. Near the bottom of the action RPG totem pole.
What the fuck, bro?
