mama the number of hours i spent after school just running around in this game. that alone gets it to 4 stars at LEAST

i really think this game will always be hung on the pandemic due to its release date. a great game for fans of the franchise who had nothing to do during the first couple months of lockdown--though i do think the nature of how quickly everyone "finished" (as much as you can with ac games) their games and the gap between new content caused the hype to die down a lot faster than it maybe would have had circumstances been different for its release.
