oof a little bummed u didnt like this game. the art direction and writing can be a dealbreaker i suppose but yeah i think its easily arkane's peak (of what i've played) in terms of gameplay design

I saw u liked this one a lot and that was partially why I was interested bc I feel like I almost ways fuck w ur taste. idk I don’t spend much time playing games so whenever I do I need smth to immediately hook me which I realize is impatient and like in some way disrespectful to the artform, plenty of stuff I like only after sitting on it for a while or in retrospect or after spending a lot of hours consuming it. there’s def smth entertaining and fun about the central gameplay loop but I do think I put more worth into narrative over gameplay, idk I like plenty of games that handle badly but I connect w the stories for various reasons. still wanna give dishonored series a shot, I pog out over any and all fantasy and medieval aesthetics tbh so I’ll probably fuck with it. I forgor if prey is by arkane or just an immersive sim but I had similar problems there, like rlly impressive and even a little bit of fun but I’m just simply too impatient to get into the mechanics of rpgs (western or otherwise) unless I’m rlly captivated by the story or aesthetics

great review, I love arkane but found this real lacking. i think you'll like dishonored (especially the first) a lot more: its much more tightly wound around narrative and the spaces feel more like an actual world than artificial levels

@NaomiCunt3r Yeah I think you might enjoy Dishonored a lot more. The story is quite great but the gameplay there really stresses me out lol. I hate having to play in a very specific way for certain endings (unless it's easy to not fuck up like undertale or smth haha)
