Probably my most controversial review but I do not like this game. I can see how other people can like it, but after pouring around 40 hours into just trying to like Terraria, even trying with mods, I really tried to appreciate the game, but I just couldn't. It is an extremely wiki-reliant game, and I just didn't particularly bother with learning the wiki when from the bosses I've played, and the overall game just felt average-ish to me, the combat didn't particularly interest me, it had it's moments but it didn't change how I felt about the overall game. I maybe would have learned to enjoy the game more if I actively used the wiki, but I didn't search to really do that- SImply just because I just wasn't hooked on the overall premise. I tried to play with friends and mods, but I didn't have as much energy to actively use the wiki. I just wanted to play the game, and even though it may be hypocritical because it is true that I really like some very wiki-reliant games, it's usually because the gameplay hooked me, and that I wanted to learn more. The gameplay of Terraria did not hook me.
