Deadlight: Director's Cut
There's a particular feel to XBLA originals that I can't quite put my finger on, but it's all over Deadlight. It's some combination of imagination, jank, and arbitrary restrictions, where my dude can tank a two-story fall no problem but can't go prone or handle being submerged in water.
I'd like to see the basic concept revisited. Deadlight did anti-zombie parkour 3 years before Dying Light, and when it's firing on all cylinders, Deadlight has a nice fluidity and speed to it. However, it's also really fond of gotcha moments, where by the time you see a hazard, it's too late to react, and many of its obstacles blend into the grayish-brown muck of its environments.
