i've had to take some time to gather my thoughts regarding this game. the gameplay is wonderful, an obvious step up from the first. it's cool to see—in the modern era—a game series improving its gameplay with each new entry. the story is mostly great as well! there were so many cool beats and the actual cinematography in the cutscenes impressed me more than i expected (i was a huge fan of the scene with spidey and venom in the dining room). but everything felt like it came so quickly to a close! i dont know, im not one to complain about a game being "too short", the first game was basically the same length but it felt way more well-paced than this. perhaps it's due to miles and pete sharing the protagonist role, they both had their own things going on that should've been fleshed out a bit more. i didn't mind how many villains ended up playing a huge role in the story, but that definitely muddied the waters as well. im happy to see that moving forward they're going to mainly focus on miles, hopefully it leads to a more tightly paced experience.
