Kirby games never fail to make me happy. Great soundtrack too. And the gimmick of this game, the Super abilities, are flashy and fun to use.

The levels are very easy as is par for the course with Kirby games. Because of that I thought world 1-4 were a bit too easy but I enjoyed them nonetheless. World 5, 6 and 7 weren't much harder but I loved playing through them. And the final fights with Landia and Magolor fights were awesome. Actually most of the bosses in this game are well-designed and fun to fight with the different powers.

The Doomer sections are nice little speedrun sections. The Doomer boss isn't too bad either since you get variations of the boss depending on what world you're in and you probably have a different power everytime you fight him anyway so that keeps things fresh. But after playing through all these sections on both normal and extra modes they started to get a bit samey.
On the topic of Extra mode, I thought it wasn't different enough. It’s Basically just a hard mode with very few changes and it’s still very easy. Just like in the normal mode I ended up with 99 lives at the end of Extra mode.

I love the powers in this game. There’s a lot of them and all of them have their own unique movesets with lots of different attacks.
And you get to use these different movesets in the challenges. I thought they were fun and getting the platinum medals added some much needed difficulty.

Now for the Deluxe-exclusive content we have the Magolor Epilogue and Merry Magoland.
Magolor Epilogue was pretty fun. He has a nice moveset and the fully upgraded dash is crazy good. I thought the beginning was a bit rough though when he is very limited in his moves. And all the levels do look samey. I would have liked some more variety in that department.
Secondly, there is Merry Magoland. It’s okay but I’m just not that into minigames. Most of the missions were pretty easy though and I didn’t mind doing them.
Except for that one Samurai Kirby mission. Fuck that shit. Getting 2x5 in a row was some bullshit.
