Alien3: The Gun

released on Sep 01, 1993

Using cabinet mounted guns you and another player blast away the Aliens in an attempt to save the prison planet. You are also given a limited number of grenades to use when the going gets tough. The gameplay is very close to Sega’s other lightgun games from the period such as Gunblade and Jurassic Park. This game was based on the movie of the same name.

Alien but it's for whatever crowd I'm in bcuz this shit funny af. The highlight of the boys and I's trip to the arcade. It's camp and goofy ahh angst ending they couldnt have done it better. The controller being a pink BFG may be unfitting idk it fits like a glove, lads.

Ok in theory it should have more variety, a perfect score would be an insane reach and I can't halo that. Its like every pun has a stupid review now, either that or I switch two words and its suddenly funny I think but I gotta pick up the pace fr

Ignores the movie and goes in on style 100%. Grungy tech and slithering alien variants make this rail-shooter memorable, and the ending (which I won't spoil) is more true to the franchise themes than most entries in the series' video game history. Just know that the loose translation means a lot of the small nuance gives way to vague gloomy narrations.

A great rail shooter that is in a lot of ways better than the movie it is based on. There's two different paths to take in this game though they don't exactly lead to a different ending. That's really the biggest gripe with the game. The ending isn't exactly the greatest which is actually in stark contrast to the movie where the ending is arguably the best part.

Overall, though, this is a very fun rail shooter with a high replay value and addictive gameplay. Recommended if you can find a machine still in existence (which I was fortunate to) or if you want to play it any other way you can.

A very badly translated arcade shooter that completely disregards the conflict of the film, but then again maybe that's a good thing? Very fun.
