I picked this up for 1.49, and it was easily worth that price... If 9.99 is worth it, though, ehh. I suppose that's up to how much you enjoyed the base game and wanted more of it.

The maps are huge and sprawling as well as diverse! For the first time we get to see this world during the daytime since the main game takes place only at night. The graphical design is as strong as the main game and there are new kill animations and assets.

The story is alright, it gives some context the story and I did like it! The main downside for this DLC is that it is very clearly designed around co-op play, every encounter I was always thinking, "If there was another player they could handle this while I do this!", of course this may be a positive for you if you are wanting to play co-op! If so, dig in. But as a result it made some encounters harder going singleplayer, they try and make up for this with a new skill that is fun to use that summons the other person to kill someone, similar to a move in Shadow of Mordor actually!

All in all it was about 3 hours of playtime, and with some replay-ability to play as the other character (which I haven't done yet), and the ability to do co-op, I'd recommend it!

Playtime: 4 Hours
Score: 7/10

An okay expansion to Aragami. Played through this in co-op with a friend and it was pretty fun. The levels are beautifully designed with the games incredible art style and colours. There are a lot more enemies in the levels with some sniper towers having up to 3 archers, which definitely forced me to get creative, especially when my friend was killed and I had to carry us to the next checkpoint without dying!

There is one new ability called Twin Shadow which I never really got the hang of, however they did update the kunai blade to have an explosive charge, so after you throw one to take out an enemy, it plants a bomb so that when other enemies get close you can set off an explosion, which is great for group kills! I just love that someone on the dev team was like "kunai blades are cool but what if they could explode?!".

Lastly is the story which acts as a prequel to the base game. It was okay overall but I found it to be a little anti-climatic towards the end, and its definitely not mandatory to play. They did add diary entries in the levels that you can pick up and read to expand the story which I did appreciate.

Overall, an okay expansion, not a must play really but if you get it alongside the base game it will provide some decent fun!

Not a lot to say tbh
Just a bit of extra content with some new powers
Story is just ok
Still fun to play though

Oof, bit of a surprise belter, this DLC!

It's fairly short at around two hours but Aragami: Nightfall is all of the stuff I really enjoyed about the main game in one really dense set of levels - all of which are more varied locales than the base game.

The key thing here though is that every ability you have to earn in the base release is unlocked from the word go in this DLC, so you can approach every one of the various situations it throws at you the way you want, which is always a huge plus for me. Even more the case in a stealth game.

All of my other positives about Aragami in the previous review remain but this one throws you straight into the best stuff and doesn't let up for the admittedly short play time. Almost entirely killer from start to finish though and well worth a play as it seems to be a nice middle ground between the original game and where they appear to be headed for the sequel.
