You can customize and manipulate just about any aspect of the game. The length of quarters, the size of rosters, salary caps, gender, team names, player names, heights, weights, ages, the pace of play, the rate of three pointers, how many teams make the playoffs etc.

It's not just the depth of customization. The game itself is a very fun and deep and reliable simulation of basketball. You can watch stats distribute over the league and its players over hundred and thousands of seasons. There are built in ways to bring in real players and the league's history as well as ways to randomize real players across draft classes so you get draft classes with Michael Jordan and George Mikan and Latrell Sprewell. You can randomize their development curves so they resemble their real life achievements or so that it's a complete crapshoot as to whether or not Smush Parker will become your league's GOAT. You can start at any season from the beginning of the NBA to today with real rosters and historic stats.
