Let's just get it out of the way from the get-go: this is an open-source Civilization II-like. It's pretty good, although I never got hooked by it as much as what it's imitating - not out of it being worse, but rather that it was just different enough from Civ to throw me off at a time when I was still trying to learn Civ itself. Someday I might revisit this game and the various mods and additions that were made for it.
