The last chapter is literally machine translated. That chapter is pretty bad on its own, and the translation makes it so much worse. The first three chapters are quite enjoyable though.
I'm gonna be real, dog, sometimes I'm just like "well, I don't know, maybe this is a hidden gem? And it's free!" I mean, I should've known it was just gonna be standard ecchi schlock, but man.
Well, okay. I think I might've put up with it for a little longer if the actual MC sucked less, because I was kind of okay with the fish out of water stuff of a modern guy being dunked into early 1700s Japan. I think "oh but girls are samurai too" could've also been kind of fun, but the MC is such a whiny little asshole about it. At least Emiya Shirou is a malewife with survivor's guilt, this douchebag gets confused by girls with katanas even though his sister's great at kendo.
The art's not... terrible, but it's not great, either. The perspective on one of the characters' arms is pretty bad when she's facing the front, and there's the elephant in the room of Why Are Her Nipples Poking Through Her Clothes? Yeah, yeah, I know what kind of game I'm playing, but I do reserve the right to quit over a Funny Boob Grab for Innocent Reasons, It's Innocent We Swear. There was also some trivia for one of the younger girls that I'm glad I didn't experience in the actual game... There's also a Confucian scholar villain guy who is like. I don't know if the way he's drawn is morally offensive or like, just aesthetically offensive.
Also the translation and audio mixing feel kinda bad. The default volume option leaves the BGM overpowering the dialogue, and I feel like I was having problems with that even with the BGM turned down?
Yeah, don't recommend. The girls might've been kind of fun if I was willing to put up with it longer, but they're mostly just tropes so like, whatever.
