The walking and jumping is comically slow, but the combat is decent and has solid animations.

Dragon "Dive Kick" Wang reenacts the Corridor fight scene from Oldboy just with a lot more jumping and hunky shirtless men. Walking speed is hilariously slow so when you find out jumping is twice as fast there's no going back. Goal is to fight through endless goons, and confront the diverse six bosses over and over again to win the love of a girl. Bro, maybe she's just not into you so don't go beating up harmless robots.

I'm sure there was a novelty amongst Japanese SEGA fans in having a watered down arcade port of Spartan X on their home console. But I'm sure that quickly wore off when, within a few weeks they realized that Famicom would receive a proper port of that same arcade game, not only optimized for the system but also made by Nintendo's top developers as a warm-up for Super Mario Bros. Also haha name funny.
