First released in December 2008, the Dynasty Warriors: Gundam series has gained much popularity, and finally the newest entry is going to be released soon. By continuing all of the popular elements and loosing unpopular elements of the previous installments, we hope that this installment is the best of the series. With newly added features to set this installment apart from the rest, it has evolved to increase the player's sense of "an authentic battlefield experience."

Probably the weakest DWG game, it takes away the structured story and recreation of the various TV shows etc, and replaces it with a original story that feels lacking compared to what DWG1 did.
But the biggest problem is how the battles/stages work now. Instead of cool set pieces and events, the levels are just these generic, quick things that feel way too easy at times. They really remind me of the Koei Empires spin offs, but not in a good way. In that all battles are sort of interchangeable and lack any distinct features. But the difference in the empires games is the vast selection of characters and faction mashups, here it's a set, designed story that you cannot alter, but it still features the same generic levels and maps.
I've beaten the first 2 and Reborn, but this one i couldn't see through to the end, it's just too damn boring.

this is my favorite of the 4 gundam musou titles. while i miss the larger maps from 1 and 2, i enjoy playing on a battlefield with different bases that offer different functions and respawning allies so you're not left completely alone to decimate a whole army. the cast expansion is fantastic, my favorite additions being more wing pilots, stardust memory, and the unicorn characters as unicorn is my favorite gundam series. this game has a notable ost which isn't something i can say for the other 3 titles. the partner system is neat and i EXTREMELY appreciate the reworking of the friendship system so half the cast doesn't hate me just for having spawned in as an enemy
Would you like to turn your brain completely off without going to sleep?
Do you have an approximate knowledge of some of the Gundam shows but would love to learn about some of the plot beats from the shows?
Do the words 'Dynasty Warriors' operate like an activation phrase, sending you into a stupor with resolve to solve the Yellow Turban Rebellion?
Then Dynasty Warrios Gundam 3 is for you, or at least it was for me.
