Definitely the worst pinball game I've ever played

Beat em ups are relatives to fighting games, this would specifically be a relative to platform fighting games. You're in single screen levels, kinda old arcade game style too. You start off without special moves but learn them quickly throughout the levels, simple 4 directional inputs Smash style, but you can customize them. Some of them are really fun, getting Innocent Pendulum to hit a bunch of enemies at once while slamming one other enemy down is great. knocking an enemy into a row of enemies with the basic forward kick is great. The story is pretty short but there is an endurance mode. Has that real doujin spirit.

I was looking for action and I found it, the styles all dated but in this cute atmospheric way. It's a light game you can play during school but for serious styling crap it isn't the best.

A short, single-player arena brawler somewhere between Smash Bros and latter-period Kirby. Zipping across the screen and spiking enemies like volleyballs is great fun, even if there isn't a whole lot to it. Has doujin charm, and the few boss fights are a highlight.

Smashing enemies into each other and making chains makes my brain happy.

A game I finished, but really can't recommend too much. The combat is fun, though you can't really get to learn all of it as there isn't much of a tutorial to teach you techniques or advanced tech. Knocking enemies into each other is fun, though, and the different abilities with the magical powers are interesting. The boss fights were pretty infuriating though as they have a lot of health. The base level design was very simple as it's just an arena fighter, with some platforms to vary it up. I also thought the story was just alright, and there were some weird text issues with the dialog in the English release. Music was pretty good though.
