A gente passa sozinho por uma perrengue gigantesco (principalmente nas duas últimas fases) só pra no final a protagonista ficar pra titia, realmente o mundo é injusto

Wasn't feeling this one. I like its simple but noteworthy mechanics, but other than that the gameplay just felt really slow. Not as barebones for sure, but reminded me more than anything of the Valis games. I keep forgetting there's a fourth one of those, I should probably just get it over with soon honestly so I can be done thinking about that series lmao.

I love the main character sprite's little Poniko eyes, by the way. I want to gently hold her. What I don't love as much is that the game is like, awfully horny with her for some reason or another. She loses clothes as she gets hit (similarly to the Spongebob game I previously played, funny coincidence there), and even the armor is like basically nonexistent waist down. There are a good amount of shots like this (though this is the most blatant example for sure) and it's like, I dunno man. When I'm playing games with my friends in calls and such I don't want to see this character's fat fucking ass take up like a whole bunch of the screen for no real reason. Different time and different place for that kinda stuff than your platformer game with some silly grappling antics, yknow? It reminds me a lot of Wonder Momo in that regard. I love her design for the most part, I just wish she was in something more...savory. It's uncomfortable.

Maybe I'm nitpicky about that. It caught me off guard though, similarly to Wonder Momo. Should probably just do further research first from here. Aside from that there's also not really much left to talk about, it just wasn't very good or fun to play in my opinion. Very bizarre game.

So, Faussete Armour...I gotta say, how do you even pronounce that name? I sure won't even know but thankfully I won't ever have to worry about people correcting me since this isn't a video review. I've had this one for a little while on my backlog. I really only decided to play it now because I saw the game on a collection of four games and one of them was the last PC Engine game I reviewed called Sylphia. It had me curious, surely if it got a rerelease it must have been good enough to earn it. Well actually I knew this game was on the horny side so I had my doubts but thankfully my doubts were painted away with this playthrough.

This is an action game where you'll travel through a good amount of stages using your weapon and platforming skills to reach the end to fight a boss. You got a weapon with good range which is nice and hits multiple directions which is very nice! If you press the jump button in midair you can latch under some platforms and swing. Pressing the attack button will have you do a spin jump Sonic the Hedgehog style. It will kill any enemy in one hit but you aren't invincible to projectiles so watch out. If you're in the air and hold down and then press attack then you can spin your weapon in a circle. You can also collect 3 different items to add an attack to this. The yellow shoots three projectiles diagonally, the red one shoots forward and finally the blue one shoots projectiles upward.

I was caught surprised by this game. You know when you see a game that can be horny from screenshots you expect at most a decent game but actually the mechanics are quite fun. There are some issues though. Kokuru can only take two hits before dying but unlike something like Makaimura, there are plenty of armor pickups to give you back that extra hit. There are no checkpoints in this game outside of when you get to a boss. This really is only a problem with the last stage which is pretty long but thankfully I got through it fine because I'm awesome (not really). Kokuru also moves pretty slow and sadly even doing something like swinging doesn't give you a speed boost but with how the game is designed it's not too much of a problem outside of some bosses.

Now I have to confess, when I play games lately I have the problem of using rewind at times because I suck and sometimes I like to do it for the sake of practicing so in future playthroughs I can get it all finished with ease. Though this time I decided not to be a loser and just put a save state at the beginning of stages and bosses so I got through it fairly legit even though not really. No one's gonna judge me right...

That level design though is actually kind of fun especially when you can use the grapple hook thingy to spin jump on many enemies. Your attack is pretty fast too so fighting enemies never feels too hard. In fact the game is about moderate difficulty in my eyes and I respect that. There really isn't any bad levels though I wasn't a fan of the 2nd one just because of some of the poor enemy placement.

There is a thing I need to talk about though. You see you can collect these red diamonds and I for the life of me could not figure out what they did. I was in one of the later stages and when I got to the end it made a different sound then usual and I was like "Huh that sounded kind of odd, eh whatever." and then... "Wait what why am I back at the beginning of the stage??" yeah that happened. I was so confused and watching a longplay didn't help. So I tried again and then I moved on not knowing what I did differently. After beating the game I finally realized. Collecting 3 diamonds lets you move on. IDK how I never realized that or even noticed if I had 3 on every other stage but if you ever play this game now you'll know they are important.

Bosses in this game can be tough if you don't know how to beat them but once you do they can be pretty easy. Just keep my advice that no matter how hard or impossible they may seem, there's always an easy way to win. The only one I really found tough was the one where you fight four of the previous girls all at once but again it's not too bad once you know who to target in order without getting killed. The first part of the final boss was also pretty tough at first until I realize it's best to always keep him on the very left or right when he teleports so you can slightly off screen him and use your yellow item to hit from a distance and make his projectile to retaliate not spawn in.

The game looks alright, I won't lie I wasn't really impressed by it at all especially with the sprite work. They did at least put some work in the cutscenes but they oddly look very bright color wise with every character having colored hair like they were limited to pastel colors. The game does have some fanservice though tbh it never really turned me on at all. Honestly this feels like the kind of game to have a 18+ OVA. The music can have some badass tunes but there's also some that are so weird like I don't really know who they were trying to impress with some of them. There's also one cutscene in this game where the background noise sounds like someone is spamming random sound effects like it's some edited youtube let's play. So yeah it's not the best effort ever but it's not all bad.

Ahh this game it certainly surprised me that's for sure. I'm legitimately surprised I gave this one a good score. Now I wouldn't recommend it to everyone but at least give it a try if you're curious. It doesn't really do anything to impress but it's well made and is a fun time for me personally. Wouldn't mind replaying this one. Don't know if it's worth the $200+ to own it though. It's a shame the developers didn't make too many original games in their time with some others just being licensed games for stuff like Swat Cats, Inspector Gadget, Doraemon, and Crayon Shin-chan. They did also make that Famicom game Armadillo so maybe I should play that this year. So yeah, good game. Ok but seriously why does every game I care about have to be so freaking expensive I hate it!!

Great aesthetics with fun traversal; I had fun swinging from platforms and getting to higher areas in the level. Has good Bonk/Yumi energy.

Those lured in by the beautiful cutscene sprite-work won't be disappointed, but be prepared to play through a pretty basic Castlevania/Bionic Commando-like platformer to see them.
