Field of Glory II is a turn-based tactical game set during the Rise of Rome from 280 BC to 25 BC. It allows you to fight large or small battles for or against Rome, or between the other nations who are as yet unaware of the Roman threat, or what-if battles between nations that never came into conflict historically.

Very satisfying bronze age / antiquity / whatever turn-based battles! The win/loss condition mechanics are kind of frustrating (you lose once you lose a % of your troops, not all of them, which makes some losses annoying and kind of nonsensical in a videogame sense)
Minimalistisch und dennoch viieeel zu langsam. Selbst mit allen Geschwindigkeitsoptionen auf Maximum, dauern die Züge noch so elendig lang.
Dazu ist das Spiel aufgrund des extremen Fokus auf Marschrichtung so unnötig unübersichtlich.
Für Hardliner, die alles schon gespielt haben sicher eine Option.
Ansonsten doch lieber auf die Genreklassiker setzen.
