Very low quality collection. No menu, no extras, not even the same software, just puts downloads each game onto your system separately.

These games are actually as stressful as they appear - when you're in the zone, isolated, and at the threat of an extremely loud twat in your face at any moment, you'll most likely be sweaty-palmed and flipping through cameras like it's nobody's business.

However, the lose the fear factor quite quickly, and once you've played one or two of them, you've basically played them all. Still, it's easy to see how such a unique idea for a horror game (at least, it was for a time) was able to capture the hearts and imaginations of so many when it was fresh and new.

The idea of all these games being in a full compilation sounds awesome, right? Well, they really slacked off here. The best example of a compilation game will forever be the Sonic Mega Collection. Beautiful presentation, menus, extra features, all that good shit. This? Oh the games just kinda show up in the console home menu.... nothing special in this package, no cool bonus content, no nice menu, just... the same thing that happens if you already bought the games individually. Do I reccomend this to first time players? I guess? It's a convenient package that gives you the best FNAF games and SL for some reason, but if you already bought the games digitally, don't bother. FNAF's first physical form and it's this? What a joke.

After years of PC exclusivity the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise has finally branched out onto home consoles and this "Core Collection" bundles the first 5 main entries together into one neat little package. It offers nothing for those who have already experienced these titles before as there aren't any extras, but for people like myself who have been wondering for years what all the fuss is about the ability to find out is now finally at our fingertips. So the only knock you could have against this compilation is the actual quality of the games themselves, which vary wildly.

The first is the only one I would say is a must-play, with the fourth being a pretty good follow-up. 2, 3, and Sister Location however left me wanting for a number of reasons, be it things like poor difficulty balancing or a decreased amount of scares, among others. Still, each installment is fascinating even at their worst if only for the fact that they were all made by a single person over a very short time span who was largely making it all up as he went.

Overall, this might not be the most consistently enjoyable conglomeration, but it succeeds at its goal of bringing the absolute pop culture phenomenon that is this property to a wider audience. Therefore, if you've ever been curious about it there's no better place to start than here. Save for a few inconsistencies, the porting jobs are genuinely pretty fantastic.

7/10

FNaF 1 is probably my favorite horror game of all time, with 2 following suit.

3 and 4 are a tad lacking, but I very much so enjoy how Sister Location experiments, even if it does fall flat in some parts.

This collection, however is really lacking. No special menus, no nothing, it just plops each game individually onto the console's dashboard. I feel they really could've added say, a collection of all the teasers, development screenshots, etc.

The exclusions of Pizzeria Sim and Ultimate custom night is a real bummer as well. Yeah i know they haven't released on consoles yet, but could they really not have waited to get all 7?
