I think this is what a modern Mario Golf should be. They still have the “realistic” courses and all of that. But there’s a TON of good old Mario style courses that really spice things up. Same with the characters, it’s good and what you’d expect (shame that my goat Toadette is locked behind DLC). It’s not Toadstool Tour, but it’s good! However, that story mode is RIDICULOUS. The first two courses go off pretty well, and then you get to the mountain course and the AI just keeps stomping you into the dirt. I only won with a miracle eagle and then I played the entire Back 9 nearly FLAWLESS, ending with a -7. It was so weirdly hard, but it was the most rewarded I’ve felt by beating a game in a good while.
