A pretty good baseball sim that still can't figure out how to scale difficulty in a fair way. The basic mechanics feel accurate but the outcomes can have widely different results which just feels like a random number generator. The game modes on offer are pretty complete but I do wish the gambling/card pack mechanics didn't have to permeate into Road to the Show and Franchise modes. It's fun for a bit but then becomes a grind to get you to collect them all.

I'll probably pick this up again in the future when I want something simple to play but I do wish these sports games would start to think about how to create a difficulty approach that feels authentic.

We need to outlaw bright white menu backgrounds. Trying to play this before bed without feeling like I'm staring at the sun.

(otherwise this seems mostly the same as 23, which is still good but could use some innovation)

Last year, it felt like they really eliminated some of the grind in Diamond Dynasty. This year, it feels like we've gone twenty steps backward, and it's not as fun. I tried to complete the Live Series collection (as I do every year), but just couldn't bear to.

The moment-to-moment gameplay is still solid and all - this is MLB: The Show - but it's not nearly as exciting as previous games. Also...am I the only one disappointed that the only MLB player to get a "Storyline" is Derek Jeter? Great player and all, but...just him? And it's not even the whole storyline?

They’re acting like ea and 2k now. Too much content behind the paywall. Still hope but…

More of the same at this point. The formula still works but could definitely use some improvements (especially graphical ones) in future entries.
