Oceanhorn CD is a very shallow dungeon crawler that is also too easy on normal. It’s been a while I kept spamming attack mostly since it doesn’t matter at all aside from moving and dodging a tiny bit. All the layers like seasons, buffs and 4 different playable characters don’t change a thing. Maybe it’s different in co-op and on hard difficulty but solo is a snooze fest. It looks and sounds pretty, the controls work fine and what’s there is solid. I’ve completed the game with 92% in 7:12 hours, 30 of the 50 artefacts and 2 of the 4 special weapons. You can replay every stage after completing the game. Normally I’d gladly do that but I’ve seen everything the game has to offer. It’s just not fun enough and too repetitive. OceanHorn games often have the making of being great in the gameplay department, they’re so close but not quite. OceanHorn 2 is definitely better. I still need to give 1 a try.
