Bought the Cloud version as a gamble. Basically 10 dollars on sale? Fine, I'll bite, what's the worst that could happen? I have no other system to play this game on.

I'm going to talk about this game without factoring in cloud gaming. It honestly didn't give me as much trouble as anticipated. Sure I got disconnected once or twice. One time the game just wouldn't let me in because the servers were full. And it had lots of moments where the controls lagged and froze up.

But for 90% of the experience I felt like I was playing a regular version of the game. And the game itself is great! It had a lot to live up to that I felt like it accomplished

The Claire and Leon Routes are pretty different in welcome ways. I do think Claire's is better. There are segments in her route that feel fleshed out, then there are one's in Leon's that don't. To give an example, in both scenarios you have to complete an area to make a ladder come down to progress. In Claire's route the ladder is established as the goal to get towards and how to proceed. So when you clear the section the ladder coming down makes sense.

In Leon's route, you do the same section, but the ladder isn't highlighted at all. You just clear it and poof a random ladder drops down in your face. It has moments like that where they sorta cut corners for what they wanted to show.

The characters are perfectly solid here. I like all the boss fights. This game is a really good mix of classic resident evil design mixed with what everyone likes about the modern titles.

Mr X really adds an awesome layer to the game. Being able to track you down in nearly any room means you're almost never safe. He really comes in at the best moments to screw with you as well: in tight hallways, as you're completing a puzzle, as you're fighting a zombie.

It was legitimately scary. The design of the station and subsequent areas had a great flow to it.

There's a healthy amount of content as well. I'd say overall, don't get this game on Cloud. Although it worked for me mostly, it's not worth the hassle. Because this is a great game that should be explored fully and enjoyed as much as possible.
