Few people know but the DS in the title stand for 'drifting sucks'.

utterly forgettable ridge racer honestly. think that might be because the soundtrack is weak af due to not being CD quality and instead relying on DS sound chip. music is an essential part of ridge racer and this is just meh. it plays alright though. If you REALLY need more ridge racer in your life then this will probably fulfill that urge but its also nothing really noteworthy. Weird to port Ridge Racer 64 to the DS but I guess making DS N64 ports was just the thing to do early in that systems life.

lack of map variety aside this game is pretty nice looking for the hardware it was on, controls are a bit unpredictable at times tho

it capped out at like 20 mph on the first race... i dont know if playing on desmume did that but it was basically unplayable. im gonna keep this unrated because it feels unfair to rate it. its essentially a port of rr64
