Samurai Warriors 4 is a hack and slash game, and sequel to Samurai Warriors 3. The game was made to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the series. The game features a character-switching feature, similar to the spin-off, Samurai Warriors: Chronicles, with which players can take two characters into battles simultaneously, and freely switch between the two. Two new moves, "Hyper Attacks" and "Rage Mode" are featured in this game: Hyper Attacks is a secondary moveset available to all characters that allows the player to sweep through and clear out crowd of enemies with a dashing animation, although it is useless against enemy officers, as they will either deflect it or are otherwise immune against it. Rage Mode renders the player invincible for a period of time, and also enhances the player's attacks as well as empowering their Musou attack by using the Spirit Gauge.

Really fun with friends. This was one of the fondly remembered pandemic era time-waster games that I just recently remembered and picked back up. Great gameplay and combat.

I fell in love with this game. The gameplay is so smooth all these years later and easily some of the fastest in the series. Unlocking characters and levelling them up was so addictive. And the story/history is engaging (if albeit simply presented) and the characters uniquely designed. My only complaint is in the Chronicle mode, which while fun and took up the majority of my playtime, does suffer from having limited mission variety. Genuinely if they added just 2-4 more mission types this game would be 100% for me. Aside from that though, highly recommend this game! Play some samurai from history and kill thousands while learning their story!

The first modern Musou game I played, I enjoyed it for what it was.

Finished the stories i wanted, f*ck Sanada, Oda-Tokugawa forever

I couldn't finish the game cuz the vita port is garbage
Don't commit the same mistake I made, play this on ps4.

Unexpected amounts of fun with my favourite war criminals
