I like the style of the battles but it's just a huge chore to play. You have to run around talking to random NPCs 3 or 4 times each to progress and all the dungeons look the same.

An "ok" JRPS experience. To get through the game quickly, I had to play while glued to a guide, especially for the dungeons, which I didn't prefer. Still took about 20 hours.

The battles are a tad uninteresting, which is 90% of the game. The difficulty curve did spike towards the end, which helped with the strategy aspect, but by then I just wanted to finish.

I kind of wish I took the advice of others and played the original instead. The anime-style cutscene images drew me in, but what I didn't realize is that these are few and far between. I'd be surprised if there were 15 total in the game. Most of the game consists of traversing the strange 3D dungeons, not experiencing story scenes.

I played this hot off the heels of PSIV to get some additional background in the world and lore, but in my opinion, it just didn't measure up.

How can you remake a 1988 game and manage to be soooo damn worse. Even for a budget collection like Sega Ages 2500 this is really low.
This game is literally a demake don't waste your precious time with it, please, this shit looks like a flash game.
They even managed to make the gameplay worser than the original idk how that is possible, humans made horrors beyond my comprehension.
