Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular!

A port of Donald Duck

This video game is a collection of six events that uses various characters from the Peanuts series as opponents. Events include boot throwing (similar to hammer throwing), pizza balancing, and sack racing, among others. In the background, landmarks unique to Italy are shown (i.e., Leaning Tower of Pisa) and the structures using Roman architecture (i.e., the Colosseum) are shown while the player competes at the six events. A majority of the game seems to be ported from the Commodore 64 video game Alternative World Games by Gremlin Interactive.

Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular is pretty rough, honestly. The graphics are charming enough, but the controls are awkward and most of the events are just boring. Some of the ideas are wacky, like balancing pizzas or throwing boots, but they don't translate into fun gameplay. Diehard Snoopy fans might get a kick out of the charm, but for the most part, this one's a relic of an era that's best left in the past.

Very simplistic minigames, some of which are annoyingly difficult. Snoopy and the animations are adorable though.

i used to play this game all the time but it's actually really really short. but man. you just wanna play it again and again because you wanna get ALL the pizzas to the end!!!!!!

Decent competitive game that feels a lackluster in terms of length. I wish they would have included more circuits or games, but even though this almost counts as shovelware in my head, I had some genuine fun playing this in 2P.

Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular!, known in Japan as Donald Duck (ドナルドダック)

These sprites are really cute : )

This game gave me nightmares. Snoopy drowning in the river attempting the pole vault. Took me so long to figure out the controls.
