DragoonEffect
I host a podcast called Dragoon Effect. It's an audio only let's play that cares about your mental health. I keep a list of the games I have played on the show (ranked by episode order). Every game has been completed or is actively releasing episodes. It drives me bonkers when podcasts abandon games without providing some kind of conclusion and I never want to do that to my listeners. I also do an annual awards show with lots of guests!

You play as a robot ninja who is the world's last contingency, a continja if you will (hehe, I stole that from the game). You gain power-ups in tiers that work kind of like Mario going from small to big to power. You get a jump jet (double jump) first, then a ninja star that flies around and you can recall, then a dash blade. If you get hit, you go down one level of power up (on casual, you do not lose any, on harder difficulties you lose all). If you have all three abilities, the next powerup makes you move faster.
You unlock a perpetual extra life just for finishing a stage. If you finish it fast enough (all except final level are under 4 minutes) you unlock an ability (such as starting levels with the first/second/third power up level). If you finish beating the fastest time (all except final level are under 2 minutes) you unlock additional abilities (like triple jump).
This was such a fun game and I got 1000/1000 achievement points in about an hour.
I'm still going to play the third one, but wow does this game just want to waste your time.
