"2nd game" is just an excuse for scretching the ending so the developer can put their OC as a final boss instead of MOON

So Space Funeral is one of my favorite games of all time, right? And I would hear all the time about Earth Birth aka Space Funeral 3. And I would always think to myself, "What happened to 2?" Part of me wondered if it was like, named 3 as a joke like 2 doesn't actually exist, but no, it does, and it's this.

And now I partially understand why 2 is never talked about.

The thing about this game that makes me scratch my brain the most is how I as the player am supposed to perceive it. Like, am I supposed to look at this game and laugh? Because it does say at the end that it's just a 'silly fangame'. But at the same time, the game presents a lot of interesting themes and dialogue about creating and living up to a creator's work. Yet at the same time, the entire game took me like, 11? 12 minutes to beat? It almost feels as if the game's creator made this as a 'haha wouldn't this be so funny if this happened' and everyone said 'no, it would be interesting, please tell me more'. Like when you try to make a witty comment about something and then everyone takes your comment as a thought provoking statement. Like, should you be flattered in that situation? Or like when someone says something really self-hating or cruel and then tries to laugh it off. Like, no, please explain.

Because yes, this is a 10 minute Space Funeral knock-off that takes 95% of its assets straight from its predecessor, including the music. But at the same time, it introduces this interesting concept of 'Cancer' and then presents ideas of confusion in understanding the creation of your idols. I feel, genuinely, like this concept could've been stretched into a full Space Funeral-length game, but unfortunately, it sits as a (checks notes) 12 year old inside joke that was told once and then immediately talked over by everybody else in the room.

Okay so i'm apparently the first review on this game, um it's fine? I'm not gonna give it any score or anything because it's like 5 minutes long and that's if you explore everything the game has to offer it is more like some sort of easter egg hunt where you're just going around saying "oh i remember that from the first game" i don't mean to shit on this game since it's literally made just to get an interview with the creator of the original game and it does offer the idea of "cancer" which i find kinda interesting but it's nothing really special, i would recommend it if you like the first one because it is only 5 minutes long so you don't have anything to lose and it might be important for 3 but i don't know, i'm gonna find out.
