Steins;Gate: My Darling's Embrace

released on Jun 16, 2011

Spin-off of the popular Visual Novel "Steins;Gate". It is set up in a peaceful world line where okabe can hang out romantically with all the main characters of the original novel: Makise Kurise, Shiina Mayure, Kiryuu Moeka, Feiris, Suzuha Amane and Urushibara Ruka. Okabe ends up in the Delta world line (>3% of divergence) after conducting numerous experiments with the D-mail. When Okabe comes to, he finds the lab members preparing for a party and that due to successive experimenting the Future Gadget Laboratory's electric bill has skyrocketed. To compensate for this Okabe tries waitering and decides to sell the latest Future Gadget. (Partially adapted from the Steins;Gate wiki).

NO ES LO QUE PARECE
bastante divertido

This is just steins gate if nothing went wrong and im here for it. play this if you love the characters and the group dynamic.

Silly spin off where you date the girls gave me a couple giggles and the mayuri one in particular is very touching but lacks a lot of what makes the og great

First of all, a huge thanks to Parrott for gifting me this game!

This capped off my year of Science Fiction Adventure Series, as I had marched through all of them, and this was really the last accessible one I wanted to get too. What followed was a very hit or miss romantic comedy like game with some routes clearly being stronger then others.

When it hit, it hit pretty good. The Suzu route was genuinely hilarious and a great spoof on one of my favorite movies, while the Mayushi route was sweet and lovely, and a very nice alternative to the main canon romance.

The Kirusu route unfortunately was a major let down for me (and to be fair, it's tough to top the main romance story they told in Steins;Gate) while the Faris story genuinely was horrible and made me want to stop playing altogether.

Still though, I had a fun time with this overall, and it was a fun little companion piece to the series. A step below Steins;Gate 0 for me, but honestly, still worth playing if for no other reason then to get spend some more time with the GOAT chad himself Daru.

As someone who likes spouting inflammatory opinions about popular media, my immediate urge upon finishing this is to say My Darling's Embrace is "Better than Steins;Gate" and I wouldn't really even be lying to say that. Steins;Gate's characters were one of its stronger aspects to begin with and My Darling's Embrace plays really well into that. Even if it doesn't hit the highs of the original, it's a lot more consistent throughout.

Funny steins;gate spin off is funny.
