Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams

The gameplay is almost identical to the original Tak Game, whereas Tak's weapon is always on hand and mana is represented by feather count and not a meter. The game takes place in various locations, such as tropical forests, canyons, volcanic areas, snowy tundras and other harsh environments. There are also a number of dimensional stages, in the Dreamworld. Tak gets aid from animals, a number of which did not appear in the first game. In this game, Tak's juju magic is triggered by holding down one button and pressing combos of other buttons. Tak also earns juju powers gradually throughout the game instead of having to seek them out.

Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams expands on the vibrant world of the original Tak game. This 3D platformer offers a whimsical storyline, diverse level design, and introduces fun new mechanics like animal transformations. While the combat can sometimes feel simplistic and the camera control occasionally gets finicky, Tak 2 offers a solid adventure filled with zany humor and puzzle-solving challenges. It's a worthy successor, especially for those who enjoyed the first Tak title.

Tak 2 is a monumentally better game than the original Tak for a multitude of reasons: Better jump physics, dialogue, less I-Frame issues, the list could go on. I would argue there are a few too many difficulty spikes for a kids game, but maybe the kids enjoyed that sort of thing. I can assure y'all I was not a fan. The animal puzzles always stumped me as a kid, haha.
I still think this game is pretty darn good, and I know a remaster would never happen, i think it would be darn amazing to see this little rat of a man in HD

The gameplay is acceptable but the real star here is the abundance of absolutely memorable one liners. The only actually worthwhile piece of the Tak franchise.

The only Tak game that could be considered even ok

What the hell is a "DINKY GAME"

Loved this game when I was a kid
