An episode of The Journey Down Trilogy
In a shady corner of Kingsport Bay at the outskirts of St Armando, Bwana and his trusted sidekick Kito struggle to make ends meet at their run-down gas station. Little do they know that they are about to be thrown into a spine-tingling adventure that will take them far from home and right into a twisting plot of corruption and danger. In the first chapter of The Journey Down, the search for a lost journal leads to forgotten secrets of the mysterious Underland. Follow Bwana and Kito as they puzzle their way forward and begin to uncover the true fate of their long lost father, Captain Kaonandodo.

the point and click adventure gameplay is standard fare (if not a bit worse with brain wormy puzzle solutions given that you start the game off by adding steps to a ladder with stale/hard breadsticks...) but where this really sets itself apart is in aesthetic, music, and voice acting.

Stylizace dá vzpomenout na Grim Fandango (jakkoli tam šlo o inspiraci mexickým folklorem zatímco zde africkým) a styl, průběh, dialogy i humor zase na novější Monkey Islandy. Výtečná stylizace je navíc podpořena skvělým dabingem i hudební složkou. Problém není ani v samotném adventuření; je to sice bez zádrhelů, ale zábavné. Problém je čistě a jen délka. Nemám nic proti krátkým hrám, pokud má nastavená délka opodstatnění. Zde nemá; je to na necelé dvě hodiny a to ještě autoři natahují herní čas tím, že když někde něco seberete, tak vás čeká cesta napříč mnoha obrazovkami, abyste to použili a následně s výsledkem zase zpět přes všechny ty obrazovky na původní místo. Navíc to nikam nevede, nic se neuzavře... Takto to působí dojmem zpoplatněného dema na povedenou adventuru. Je to prostě prolog a nikoli první kapitola příběhu.
