Tom Mason's Dinosaurs for Hire

released on Jul 02, 1993

Unknown monsters and weird robotic creatures attack the Earth. For some reason, the only ones who can stop the invasion are the three Dinosaurs for Hire: Archie, a tyrannosaurus rex and their leader; the triceratops Lorenzo, lover of fine food, fine wine, and fine clothes, and the one-eyed, unpredictable stegosaurus Reese. Each dino has its own strengths and weaknesses. You guide the dinosaur of your choice through the platform levels of the game. You are equipped with a gun: tons of enemies will attack you from all the sides, so your best bet will be walking with the fire button pressed down. You can shoot to all the directions and also engage in melee combat when the enemy is too close. Each level has a boss enemy waiting for you in the end. There is also a cooperative two-player mode.

This is basically a Contra game with dinosaurs, which is pretty cool ...but it also means that I suck at it.

Sesame Street

Pretty simple run n gun with dinosaurs in suits and Hawaiian shirts as playable characters. I kinda get a kick out of how goofy it is, but otherwise it's rather unremarkable. I have no real complaints, honestly, but there's not really anything standout either. Definitely a better game than the Jurassic Park games on the console, at least.

Based on an American comic book series created by Tom Mason, this side-scrolling action game copies the Contra formula; this time with an anthropomorphic machinegun-wielding, chain-smoking tyrannosaurus rex named Archie as its main character, accompanied by Lorenzo and Reese, his brothers-in-arms. The premise itself makes the game worth a look, the game itself plays mostly like a boss rush, with numerous short levels in-between mission briefings from Cyrano. Graphics, gameplay, and sounds are all above-or-average, with the quality insurance of being developed by Sega Interactive Design.

You can play as a T-Rex with shades, a leather jacket and a gun. You don't get more 90's than this. It's pretty fun. Used to rent it back in the day. Played it again last year and i still enjoyed it.

The closest thing to a passable game tha Malibu Entertainment ever did.
