Tony Hawk: Ride aimed to revolutionize skateboarding games with its included skateboard peripheral controller. Unfortunately, the concept far outshined the execution. The board controller is imprecise and suffers from significant lag, making even basic tricks frustrating to pull off. The game's career mode lacks excitement, the visuals are dated for its time, and the overall experience feels clunky and unrewarding. Even diehard Tony Hawk fans will likely find this to be a disappointing misstep in the franchise.

I got this as a christmas present, and it was so bad that it put me off THPS games for years. I wouldn't even buy it out of curiosity, because it's not worth the money for the controllers that hardly functioned at the time. An astounding flop for a series that was already perfected.

do you really need another person to tell you this wasnt very good

I bought the stupid board for this and it didn't work and gamestop gave me very little money for it

they had some nerve releasing this to the public
