The combat isn't fun.
Animations aren't good enough. The swings are generally too slow, everything is a bit delayed, and you can't really cancel animations, meaning the game can't be very fast paced.
Enemies don't get staggered from your attacks. This means you need to spam stun abilities constantly, which slows the game down again. It also makes your attacks feel weak.
None of the abilities you get to choose from are all that exciting. Being able to pick 4 out of a larger set of options is a cool system, but it's a waste when all the abilities are boring.
There's also some complimentary platforming in the game, but it feels off because of the way the game handles momentum - you build up speed very slowly as you continue to run in the same direction, but you can stop all of it instantly when letting go of the movement stick.

Not bad but not really anything too spectacular either, this is probably the most "videogame" videogame ever made, if you've played a lot of games Trifox won't really present you with anything new but for someone that's trying to get into the hobby I'd say it's a pretty good first game to play.
