Yeah well, it's Tempest on the Vita so that's fine. Nothing much.

yeah its tempest, no wonder they got in legal trouble

TxK, a tunnel shooter based on the classic arcade game Tempest, was released for the Playstation Vita back in February 2014. While the colors and particle effects look fantastic on the PS Vita's OLED screen and the soundtrack is infectious, the game, at least for me, was a tad lacking. As someone unfamiliar with arcade tunnel shooters I had a few gripes that likely wouldn't plague other players. For example, the controls felt clunky and slow for a shooter designed for speed. The movement of the gunship was also sporadic at times and didn't seem to correspond to my button inputs. Otherwise, I found TxK to be an enjoyable experience that is incredibly easy to pick up and play. While I don't foresee playing TxK over other shooters available on the PS Vita, I'm sure it is someone's cup of tea.

enjoyable for a little sesh here and there.

This is going to sound like completely deranged ramblings to most people but here goes:

I got a PSTV just for this game. I prefer this a little bit over Tempest 4000 (which was a stealthy reskin of this billed as a Tempest 2000 Remake) thanks to some more original concepts over the old reliable Llamasoft tunnel-shooter formula. More fast-paced and sweat-inducing compared to Space Giraffe though that game did a lot more to innovate this microgenre. Impossible to beat all levels like most Llamasoft titles unless you're used to pouring blood, sweat, and tears into arcade machines for weeks on end.
I miss the streaky bacon from Tempest 2000 though. The coloured triangles don't quite do it for me.
