Virtua Fighter 5 features an all-star cast of 17 fighters, including characters from the previous iterations along with two new characters named El Blaze and Eileen. The game delivers fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping action as players head into battle, taking on a host of popular characters. Players not only achieve victory by defeating highly-skilled opponents, but also by competing for prizes which earn them in-game money allowing them to buy many items at in-game shop. These items allow players to customize their ultimate warrior and become the top Virtua Fighter.

Back in the day I would play this and absolutely nothing else for weeks. I remember spending countless hours in the training arena labbing combos, getting folded online and just in general watching all the cool animations which in my opinion still hold up today. I think this game is probably why I fell in love with fighting games and still play them to this day.
Had a good laugh seeing all the goofy animations playing this with my dad. The fighting is pretty basic but it's decent.
Not my type of genre at all but I gave it a try in single player and found a combo that I could just spam and win the first levels. Seemed a bit too easy.

My favorite fighting game of all time! The arena, The color shaders, the amount of time that went into this game was evident. I love this game's atmosphere with a passion. The fighting and online were just as impactful as the story. i'd lab so much and loved whooping people's asses! LOL 9/10🏴
