This game is precious, but not any good. It is as crystalline as an example as you can get of how the game industry was spreading its money around, and how higher development costs has strangled the output of studios to one game per five years if they're lucky. Imagine some big game releasing a version where everyone was big headed babies, but everything else was exactly the same. It's preposterous! It's lovely that this gesture was ever possible.

its literally virtua fighter 2 except everyone is chibis which means their reach is awful. They also pitch shifted everyones voices to be higher because yeah that's what kids sound like. I do like chibi characters but the fighting here isn't as good due to the body proportions and for some reason they really went for baby mode aesthetics instead of "VF but chibi" aesthetics.

what a bizarre game. the stubby limbs actually make this harder to play than regular Virtua Fighter 2.

Imagine if I liked any of the character designs of Virtua Fighter and you'd have Virtua Fighter Kids.

Three of these children have facial hair.
