Wirehead

released on Sep 01, 1995

Wirehead has the player controlling Ned Hubbard, a man with a wireless controller implanted in his brain, via the joypad. The bad guys are chasing after Ned for his "mind implant", and of course, the only way to get it is to open his head. Reminiscent of Dragon's Lair, a path opens up, and the player has to choose the right direction, otherwise Ned will be killed.

I'm a slut for fmv games so I enjoyed playing this. The story was silly and entertaining as hell.

However, the fact that you couldn't skip so many Cutscenes during replays after game overs really sucked. Also the checkpoints are really random. Some times you start immediately before a mistake. Sometimes it's 2 to 3 minutes of choices to repeat. I understand they had to pad the game length out but more branches in the story (I personally found a big skip) would have been a better way to go about it.

Overall really enjoyable. I will replay this game every now and then to re-watch the ridiculous story.
